A Purl of Wisdom

I was at Knotty By Nature today to get a few supplies and I learned to cast off my knitting

and how to purl. It feels great to finally know what that is and to be able to do it!

And I'm adding layers to this, now.

Yvette - curiousity is guiding me and I hope to make a quantum leap after taking the workshop with Ulrieke Benner.

Jensters - yes - casting off is important to know - otherwise I'd leave everything hanging! It's interesting to think of how 'casting off' is also a term for a boat being untied to begin a journey - so makes me think of how with every ending comes a new beginning. Once the knitting bug takes hold, I'm sure that's true!

Katie - thanks!

Mary Helen - oh I hope you do! I am glad if anything I do inspires. I tried to leave you a comment on your blog but it wouldn't work for me. There are a few blogs where this seems to happen.
