Nature's Gifts

Once upon a time a woman went down to the beach in the light of the early morning, where she found a silver spoon and the inheritance from the sea. She had been dreaming of felting and thought of fibres securing a flutter of fabric when she spied a leaf held to the sand with seaweed. She was also thinking of natural dyeing and her wish for more orange, when she saw a message on the sand.

The sand script told her to go to the point. So she did, where she saw the promise of orange and returned home ...

...to a gift from the dye pot.

I tried to leave you a comment on your blog but it wouldn't work.

I'll check the bells-and-whistles blog settings...there might have been a hiccup. Thanks for visiting my stitching blog :o)

I couldn't find your comment. I've just switched to the 'new' version of Blogger (why don't they leave good things alone?), so your comment must have gone...who knows...but I'd like to know what you wrote. I do hope you check my blog again, as I will be checking in on you frequently.

bj - I tried to leave you a comment again but it doesn't work. When I click on 'profile' nothing happens. Usually a drop box would come down to give me options to choose from. I don't remember what I said in the lost comment but I enjoyed seeing the treasures you're finding and the natural dyeing you're doing. Beautiful soft colours on your shirt, too, and with stitching it will be fabulous.

Thank you for again visiting and trying to post a comment on my stitching blog. I'll try to run down why the posts don't show up. I'm sorry that you're having this problem.

I find rusty treasures almost every day when I walk Racer dog...one day the path is clear and the next day bits of metal seem to appear by magic. It's an adventure for sure.
Thanks again :o)
