And I thought this black and white fabric might be interesting to dip - but the moon hardly shows.
I also did a turquoise and fushia to see how indigo looks over something fairly bright and dark - and got a fushia moon in blue that has limited value differences. Two of my vats weren't giving colour, so I had to do some adjusting. Each new skill takes alot of experimenting and experience to get to a point where I can get the results I am after - which makes me especially grateful for any gifts from the dye Goddess!

looks like you're definitely on a mission: to get that full moon, suspended in a darkened sky, full of memory and seasonal colour. You go girl.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful results. I soooo appreciate the time and effort you are giving us to share your process. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
Your overdyes are beautiful. One lesson I learn over and over again is that fabric dyeing is unpredictable, especially with indigo. Have fun and may the dye Goddess smile upon you. ;)
Jennifer - thanks for cheering me on - it's slow going or feels like it. I have an idea for a quilt - but don't know if I can make the results I'd like for it.
Mary Helen - I appreciate knowing you enjoy what I post and I feel recognized - thank you for that and for taking the time to comment!
Jeannie - oh thankyou for the good wishes and may the dye Goddess smile upon you, too!
