Broaching Brooches

 The Saanich Peninsula Arts and Crafts Society exhibition and sale is this weekend at the Mary Winspear Centre, and I have put in a variety of felted sculptures, wall hangings, brooches and cards.  I began the brooch above using felt I had dyed and some petals I cut from wool I had previously felted, attaching them lightly with a felting needle before wet felting together, adding a center bead,
cutting a leather backing, then attaching a pin back to it, and finally putting both halves together.
 Here is another piece of felt I shibori dyed, then cut to make several brooches,
including this one and the ones in the last two photos below.


This one didn't make it to the show before it sold!
