The lighting for the photos changes the colours somewhat, but I did get one blue violet wool swatch and a range of other colours including yellow green, blue green, aqua blue, turquoise, cerulean blue, and blue. Wool gave the greatest range of hues and values. These swatches are using crystalized chemically produced indigo:

Oh you have some lovely blues! I'm going to start dyeing this weekend...hard to wait!
what fun, Yvonne. Makes me dream of the beach in summer. So pleased you found that wool that has been so useful in your dyeing experiments.
oh hey, comments are working. you are really going!
Love the blog and the dye details from our online class with Glennis...and your rabbit in the moon.
Deb - this is fun - I look forward to seeing yours - nearly the weekend...
Laura - a sunny beach would be nice, alright! I'm actually using different wool - an old mended blanket marked 'as is' from the thrift shop. I still want to make a garment with that other wool, so am saving it.
Jude - thank you for leaving a comment so I know it's working again! My partner changed a setting after finding a site that recommended what to do.
Cate - thanks - and thanks for stopping by, too. I am very interested in seeing your indigo results.
