I decided to add a few contrasting coloured pieces that were still fairly light in value to the center and that really helped eliminate the 'wreath' look. I'm liking how this is going - when I stand back from the design wall I get a sense of depth and movement. I may quilt it as a huge spiral beginning from the center.Monday, January 26, 2009

Changing the centre with the darker values did make a huge difference.
Isn't it fun to play with fabric!
I think the spiral quilting would look fabulous. Wonder what colour you will choose?
